Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems Association

Structure

UAVS is run by its members for its membership.  The day-to-day operations and management are carried out by a small administration team reporting in to the Chairman of the Council.  The UAVS Council is the governing body and meets quarterly.

The Council is made up of six elected representatives:

Council PositionElected Representative

 The Chairman Gary Clayton (EADS)
 The Vice ChairmanChris Day (Thales)
The General Secretary John Moreland (Independent)
The Treasurer Geoff Salkeld (BAE SYSTEMS)
The Head of Industrial Development Mike Lake (Independent)
The Head of Best Practice Colin Burbidge (Claverham)

Further representatives are co-opted on to the Council by the Council from time to time to provide a breadth of opinion and expertise on various matters.

Participation by the members in the running of the Association through the Council and by active contributions to the events held by UAVS is essential to the future of the Association.  UAVS is not a social club: it is a living organism that is evolving as this embryonic industry grows and matures.
